Ice Skating

The LA Kings Ice at Mammoth Lakes is the spot to go ice skating in the Eastern Sierra.

Located inside the Mammoth Lakes Community Recreation Center, this NHL-size indoor rink offers daily Open Skate sessions from mid-October through mid-April, making it a great cold-weather activity for all ages.

In addition to public skating, LA Kings Ice features a dedicated curling lane, along with hockey programs and Learn to Skate classes. Skate and helmet rentals are available on site, and extended skating hours are typically offered on weekends.

The Bridgeport Ice Skating Rink is an outdoor spot that is FREE of charge. Come enjoy traditional family fun at this outdoor ice rink. Located at the intersection of US 395 and Hwy 182.

In winters when the cold arrives before the snow, many of the high mountain lakes that are popular for fishing during the warm weather months can be fun and unique places to skate or play pick–up games of pond hockey. While skating on frozen lakes and ponds in the Eastern Sierra can be spectacular, safety should always be the first priority - please use extreme caution.
