Tamarack Bench Trail begins at Rock Creek Lake Trailhead parking lot. This is a less-trafficked, ten-mile round trip hike to Tamarack Lake, with a 2,000 foot elevation gain. The trail offers dramatic views of Sierra peaks and excellent fall colors while passing Kenneth and Dorothy Lakes along the way.
