The shady pine forest of Reds Meadow Campground attracts all kinds of outdoor lovers, who can wake up and hike to Devils Postpile National Monument, Rainbow Falls, the Pacific Crest Trail, John Muir Trail and the San Joaquin River. This 54-site campground is first-come, first-served. Amenities in the Reds Meadow valley, which is 20 minutes outside the town of Mammoth Lakes, include showers and a general store. Reservations not available.
