Those seeking a 2-3-hour day hike that passes through wild ridgelands, a fluttering aspen forest and singing creekbed to end at a glorious high alpine lake, will find Parker Lake is the answer. The incline is mellow and the lake is stocked for fishing. The trail head is located at the north end of the June Lake Loop (State Rte. 158), so expect lighter trail traffic than on those closer to towns June Lake and Mammoth Lakes. Plus, views of Mono Lake!
