To see some of Mammoth’s most exciting viewpoints on foot, hike the 3.5-mile (one way) Mammoth Pass Trail, a connector for Horseshoe Lake and Reds Meadow. The trail is only slightly technical, with moderate climbs and drops. Pass through shaded forest and a dead tree zone.
