Open 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily in the summer CLOSED WINTER/SPRING Mammoth Museum, located in the Hayden Cabin on the banks of Mammoth Creek, invites you to experience local history in the setting of this 1920's log cabin. Exhibits include mining implements, photos, art, intriguing memorabilia and glimpses into the lives of the people and industries that shaped Mammoth long ago. Gifts available for purchase. Admission is free, donations/memberships to The Southern Mono Historical Society are gratefully accepted. Directions: From Main St. turn onto Old Mammoth Rd. Once you pass Mammoth Creek Park on your right, take the next left onto Sherwin Creek Rd (watch for 'Museum' sign). Then veer left onto a dirt road.
