This is a popular half-day hike for sightseeing. Along this easy-to-moderate 1.5 mile (one way) trail hikers can poke around the remains of a gold mine and end at a heart-shaped lake. Great views of Mammoth Mountain are another highlight. Trail begins at the top of Coldwater Campground where free day parking is available.
