Lower Horse Meadows Road, in conjunction with Upper Horse Meadows, is a 6.5 mile dirt road loop that is popular with OHV riders, mountain bikers and hikers. It's not steep, but the high elevation meadows offer views of Mono Craters as well as Yosemite directly to the west. Beautiful with spring and fall foliage. Offers the option to go further into Bohler Canyon. Access is west off Hwy. 395 just south of Lee Vining.
