A 14-mile drive through gorgeous scenery! Carved into a horseshoe shape by a glacier, this paved two-lane highway follows the canyon along the base of 10,909-foot Carson Peak, four lakes, the quaint town of June Lake, Rush Creek and several family-friendly campgrounds. Essential for fall color viewing. Only partially open in winter. Also called State Rte. 158. The loop has two junctions (north and south) with Hwy. 395.
