Enjoy bright wildflowers, cool creek waters and plenty of high Sierra photo ops on this hike above the quaint town of Crowley Lake. You'll be following one of the lovely alpine creeks that flows into this famous lake. Hilton Creek Trail also provides the option to extend it into an 11-mile loop that passes Hilton and Davis Lakes and comes down via Rock Creek Road (where you'll want to have another car waiting). To reach the trailhead, exit Highway 395 on McGee Creek Road, take Crowley Lake Drive south for about one mile, turn uphill at Hilton Creek Road and look for a parking lot. Hilton Creek Trail offers beautiful views of Crowley Lake, the surrounding Sierra peaks, and the White Mountains.
