The remote Buckeye Campground is one of the Bridgeport area's more expanded campgrounds, with 68 sites amid sagebrush and pines, where campers feel like the whole Sawtooth Ridge and Hoover Wilderness is theirs to explore on hiking trails and quiet trout-filled creeks. This campground is located on a rough dirt road several miles from the town of Bridgeport, on a ridge above Buckeye Creek. Buckeye Hot Spring is nearby and Twin Lakes is about four miles away. Bring your own drinking water. Sites are first-come, first-served.
