Camp on Lee Vining Creek with the towering granite peaks of Yosemite overhead. Tucked in a pine and aspen forest with dirt road access, Big Bend Campground is small and rustic on the edge of Yosemite National Park. 17 sites come with bear lockers and pit toilets. The east gate to Yosemite is just ten minutes away, and the nearest town, Lee Vining, is also close. Sites are first-come, first-served. Find Big Bend Campground off of Tioga Pass Road (Hwy. 120) on a turnoff called Poole Plant Road, which is 3.5 miles west of the Hwy. 395 junction. Visit in spring, summer and fall (closed in winter).
