Rock Creek Lake Campground is located on the shore of Rock Creek Lake in Rock Creek Canyon, several miles off and above Hwy. 395. The campground, convenient to the John Muir Wilderness, wraps around the side of Rock Creek Lake with some nice walk-in tent sites along Rock Creek. Surrounded by dramatic peaks and scenic views, this 28-unit campground is a perfect location for limitless mountain recreation opportunities including fishing, rock climbing, hiking and horseback riding at the nearby pack station. The crystal blue lake and creek is a favorite of anglers of all ages. Firewood and bear-proof food containers are available for a fee.
