Obsidian Dome is an ideal place to explore the great outdoors just north of the town of Mammoth Lakes. Maintained trails (marked for hikers and OHV/ATV in summer and groomed for cross country skiing and snowshoeing in winter), plus an easy-to-find location directly off Highway 395, provide explorers an entry into the expansive wilderness that resides between the towns of Mammoth Lakes and June Lake. To reach Obsidian Dome, exit west off Highway 395 about 8 miles north of Mammoth Lakes.
