West Walker River Reserve

Situated in the Antelope Valley farming community, just off highway 395 in the Eastern Serra town of Coleville, lies the 89-acre West Walker River Reserve that encompasses a mile of the east bank of the West Walker. The property has cottonwood and aspen trees along the river and riparian thickets dominated by California wild rose. In a region that has has seen much of its native plant habitat converted to alfalfa grown for cattle grazing, the wetlands and native vegetation on Aspen Glen Reserve remains a refuge for bear, dear, foxes, bobcats and quail. Parking located right on Larson Lane bridge.
