Ghost of the Sagebrush Tour: Mono Pioneer Memories

PUMICE AND OBSIDIAN HISTORY IN THE MONO BASIN, A DINNER AND TOUR DURING THE 14TH GHOSTS OF THE SAGEBRUSH TOUR WEEKEND

The Mono Basin Historical Society's theme for the 14th Annual Ghosts of the Sagebrush Tour is:  "Mono Pioneer Memories."  The event begins with a dinner and program on Friday, August 24, and continues Saturday August 25 (10AM to 4PM) and coincides with dedication of the new Pioneer Solar Pavilion in Hess Park, next to the Mono Basin History Museum in Lee Vining.

New history display panels in the Pavilion and speakers from Mono Basin pioneer families will share memories of homes, ranches, and early businesses in Lee Vining. Tickets (available in early summer 2018) will be $25 for the Friday barbecue dinner and program; and a separate $25 ticket for the Saturday tour (including a box lunch).  More details will be provided as the event date approaches.

This event is a fundraiser for the non-profit Mono Basin Historical Society, which can be reached by email at curator@monobasinhistory.org and is online at www.monobasinhistory.org
