Come enjoy a day from the past!

August 12th will be a day to remember as we gather to celebrate 30 years of Friends of Bodie and the life of the man who started it all, Mr. Bodey. You will not want to miss the reenactment (11am & 2pm) of that strange day in 1879 when several men escorted the bones of W.S. Bodey to town. The discoverer of gold in these hills died in a snow storm twenty years earlier where his remains were buried in an unmarked grave. You will hear the true story from several perspectives and perhaps solve the mystery of the ‘Bones of Bodey’ as we celebrate with music, food and special tours.

The members evening program will be full of soul stories as we experience the cemetery come to life. You don’t want to miss out so be sure to RSVP as soon as you receive your invite. Last year this event was sold out and we anticipate that this year will too!!

You will be able to reserve your dinner(s) at our online store, or by mailing in the reservation form with your check.
