JUNE LAKE, Calif. – The June Lake Winter Festival is set for March 17, 2018, with exciting events for everyone – young and young-at-heart.

The celebration includes a snowmobile poker rally (snow and weather permitting), snow sculptures, Family Fun Zone and, new this year, a dog parade.

“We are excited to present the seventh annual June Lake Winter Festival – a day of winter fun for the whole family,” said Ralph Lockhart of the Double Eagle Resort & Spa and June Lake Loop Chamber of Commerce. “June Lake Winter Festival gives us a reason to celebrate our gorgeous winters in the pristine mountain setting that we call the Switzerland of California.”

The snowmobile poker rally features contestants following a course between June Lake and Mammoth Lakes on snowmobile -- with stations along the way where each rider draws cards and assemble a poker hand. Prizes for best hand, worst hand and more will be awarded at the finish.

The snow sculpture contest features a competition between local businesses and provides great photo opportunities for visitors who stroll along Main Street through the quaint village of June Lake.

The Family Fun Zone at June Mountain serves up food, festivities, music, kids’ games and sledding so there is plenty for all to enjoy.

The traditional winter triathlon will not take place this year, but a new event, the dog parade, will be an opportunity to dress your pup in a crazy, cute or crafty costume so he/she can participate in the festivities.
