The Mono County region
is home to a number of hot springs. Benton Hot Springs, Hot Creek,
Buckeye Hot Spings and Fales Hot Springs are but a few of more well
known locations. The popular Hot Creek region, near the Mammoth
Airport, is closed due to excessive
water temperatures.
 As relaxing as these waters can be, it's good to remember that the heat that
warms them is coming from deep within the earth. If you are aware of recent seismic
activity in the area, it's a good idea to stay out of the hot springs.
Like swimming, it's a good idea to aways enjoy a good soaking with friends or
family.
