June Lake

Tucked away at the base of 10,909-ft Carson Peak, the scenic 14 mile June Lake Loop is a mountain hideaway. The area has been attracting outdoor enthusiasts and nature lovers dating back to Hollywood's discovery of June Lake in the 1920's.

Summer Recreation Paradise
The loop's four glistening lakes, June, Gull, Silver, and Grant, are renowned for fishing and are stocked with trophy-size Alper's trout.  You'll find boat and float tube rentals, plus tackle and guides for your fishing adventures.  Meandering Rush Creek is the perfect spot to test your fly-fishing skills.   Campgrounds, RV Parks, paddleboats, horseback riding and miles of hiking trails provide additional summer enjoyment.

Lakeside Village
The picturesque lakeside village of June Lake and resorts along the Loop offer a variety of quaint accommodations, shops, fine dining, and a world class spa retreat.  Autumn in June Lake is a paradise for artists and photographers, with aspen color ablaze.

Winter Activities
Set beyond the lakes are the rugged Sierra Peaks and the June Mountain Ski Area, famous for its broad trails and easy access to backcountry skiing.  Other winter sports include snowmobiling, snow-shoeing, and cross-country skiing on a vast trail system.
